Feeling Sluggish? You Could Be Toxic!
Toxicity is a critical concern these days. There are numerous unavoidable sources of toxins that enter our bodies all day! We have grown accustomed to ingesting new chemicals, using more drugs of all kinds, eating more processed foods and abusing ourselves with various stimulants and sedatives.
The human body uses fat as a defense mechanism against toxins so they don’t enter major systems including the hormone and endocrine systems. A class of natural and synthetic chemicals known as endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) cause so much fat storage that they have become known as “obesogens.” Many researchers now believe they lead to weight gain and in turn, to numerous diseases.
When we start ridding ourselves of excess fat, these toxins are released in the body and must be eliminated. Unfortunately, there is no way to completely escape exposure to environmental toxins.
